- 4 cups water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 star anise (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and peel the pears. Remove the core and slice them into thin pieces.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced pears, grated ginger, honey, and lemon juice. Pour in the water, ensuring everything is submerged.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat. Reduce to low heat, add cinnamon sticks, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain the liquid from the pear mixture and ginger. Pour into mugs while steaming.
- If desired, garnish with an extra slice of pear or a cinnamon stick.
