Ready in just 15 minutes, this fruit-forward salsa bursts with color and flavor — a guaranteed hit with family and friends!
Ingredients
2 ripe peaches, diced (juicy and fragrant peaches bring the sweetness)
1 ½ cups fresh cherries, pitted and quartered (use sweet cherries for best flavor)
1 small jalapeño, finely diced (remove seeds for less heat)
¼ cup red onion, finely chopped (adds a pop of sharpness)
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (or swap with mint for a new twist)
1 garlic clove, minced (adds depth)
Juice and zest of 1 lime (bright, citrusy freshness)
Pinch of sea salt (enhances the sweetness)
Optional Add-Ins
Diced avocado (for creaminess)
Drizzle of honey or agave (if fruit isn’t very sweet)
Finely chopped red bell pepper (for crunch and color)
Instructions
Prep the fruit: Wash and dry the peaches and cherries. Dice the peaches and quarter the cherries after pitting them.
Chop the add-ins: Finely dice jalapeño, red onion, and cilantro. Mince the garlic until smooth.
Combine: In a medium bowl, gently toss together peaches, cherries, jalapeño, onion, cilantro, and garlic. Sprinkle in sea salt.
Add the lime: Zest and juice one lime directly over the bowl, then stir gently until the salsa glistens.
Chill: Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to let the flavors mingle.
Taste & serve: Adjust salt or lime to taste. Serve with tortilla chips or spooned over grilled fish, tacos, or chicken.
Notes
Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Stir before serving.
Don’t freeze: Freezing changes the texture of the fruit.
Spice control: Keep jalapeño seeds for heat or omit them for a mild version.
Serving ideas: Perfect with grilled meats, on tacos, or as a dip with chips.
