Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash, hull, and chop 1 cup of fresh strawberries.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together ½ cup of softened unsalted butter and ½ cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add in one large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract; mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually add your dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
