Description

Delightful Spinach Artichoke Swirls, perfect for a comforting snack or appetizer. A creamy mixture of spinach and artichokes wrapped in flaky pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup Artichoke Hearts, chopped
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Puff Pastry Sheets
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, sour cream, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets into rectangles to about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Evenly spread the spinach and artichoke mixture across the puff pastry, leaving a small border along the edges.
  5. Starting from one edge, roll the pastry into a log shape and seal the edge.
  6. Using a sharp knife, cut the rolled pastry into approximately 1-inch wide pieces.
  7. Place the swirls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring a bit of space between each piece.
  8. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For a healthier version, substitute low-fat cream cheese and Greek yogurt for sour cream.
