Ingredients
- Spaghetti (or gluten-free alternative)
- Olive Oil
- Fresh Garlic
- Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- Canned Tomatoes
- Parmesan Cheese (optional)
- Fresh Basil
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for 1-2 minutes.
- Add canned tomatoes to the skillet, breaking them up, and let simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
- Drain the spaghetti, reserving some pasta water, and combine it with the sauce.
- Stir in grated Parmesan and chopped basil before serving. Garnish with extra cheese and basil if desired.
Notes
