- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (fine or panko)
- 1 Egg
- 2 Green Onions (chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Dried Dill
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- Zest and juice of 1 Lemon
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Gather all ingredients. Cook fresh salmon fillets by poaching or baking until just cooked through; drain canned salmon.
- Mix the Base: In a large bowl, flake salmon with a fork. Add breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, green onions, dill, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and zest.
- Form the Patties: Combine gently, form into 4-6 equal patties, about 1 inch thick.
- Heat the Pan: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Cook the Patties: Place patties in skillet, cook for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and repeat.
- Prepare the Lemon Garlic Sauce: Whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt and pepper in a small bowl.
- Serve with Sauce: Serve patties warm, drizzled with lemon garlic sauce.
Notes
For gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs or ground oats. Option to air-fry or bake instead of frying.
