Description

A unique twist on classic chicken wings, featuring sweet and tangy pineapple flavors complemented by a spicy glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place chicken wings in a large bowl and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Drizzle wings with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper, tossing until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  4. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine diced pineapple, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for about 10 minutes until thickened.
  5. Brush the baked wings generously with the pineapple glaze and reserve some for serving.
  6. Return the glazed wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
  7. Let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving, pairing with fresh pineapple slices or coleslaw.

Notes

For a milder option, you can replace red pepper flakes with paprika or omit them altogether.
