Description

Delightful no-bake bars combining crunchy pretzels with creamy caramel and chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzels (traditional or gluten-free)
  • 1 cup almond butter (or sunflower butter)
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (or agave syrup)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Sea salt flakes for topping

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8×8-inch square baking pan with coconut oil or line with parchment paper.
  2. Crush the pretzels into small pieces in a ziplock bag.
  3. In a large bowl, combine crushed pretzels, almond butter, maple syrup, and melted coconut oil. Stir until well combined.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, melt chocolate chips with a bit of coconut oil, stirring until smooth, then pour over the pretzel layer.
  6. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
  8. Remove bars from the pan, slice into squares, and serve.
