- 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
- 1 cup Mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 cup Swiss Cheese, shredded
- 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 large Egg
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Chop the mushrooms, onion, and garlic.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onions and garlic until softened, then add mushrooms and cook until moisture has evaporated.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed vegetables, breadcrumbs, Swiss cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve with a glaze of ketchup and brown sugar on top before baking. Pair with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
