Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Swiss Cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Chop the mushrooms, onion, and garlic.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onions and garlic until softened, then add mushrooms and cook until moisture has evaporated.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed vegetables, breadcrumbs, Swiss cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with a glaze of ketchup and brown sugar on top before baking. Pair with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
