- 24 Ladyfingers
- 1 cup Mascarpone Cheese
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Fresh Lemons (juiced and zested)
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 4 Egg Yolks
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Extra Lemon Zest (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and egg yolks. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- Add fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract into the mascarpone mixture. Mix until well combined.
- Dip each ladyfinger in lemon juice mixed with water or lemon-flavored liqueur briefly and layer at the bottom of a dessert dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top.
- Repeat the dipping process and layer the remaining ladyfingers on top of the cream. Add the rest of the mascarpone mixture, smoothing it out evenly.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Notes
Serve in individual cups or jars, topping with extra lemon zest or thin lemon slices for an inviting look. Pair with whipped cream or fresh berries for added freshness.
