Description

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate or butterscotch chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the unsalted butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and combined.
  2. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the ground ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Pour in the molasses and mix well until uniform.
  4. Gradually add the Rice Krispies, stirring gently until coated.
  5. If desired, fold in the white chocolate or butterscotch chips.
  6. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and press the mixture firmly into it.
  7. Allow to cool at room temperature for about an hour, then cut into squares or bars.
