- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup white chocolate or butterscotch chips (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the unsalted butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and combined.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in the ground ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour in the molasses and mix well until uniform.
- Gradually add the Rice Krispies, stirring gently until coated.
- If desired, fold in the white chocolate or butterscotch chips.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and press the mixture firmly into it.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for about an hour, then cut into squares or bars.
