Ingredients
- Sturdy sourdough or Italian loaf
- Sharp cheddar cheese
- Mozzarella cheese
- Freshly minced garlic
- Unsalted butter
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and prep everything before starting.
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until well blended.
- Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice and stack cheese on the non-buttered side.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Grill the sandwich butter-side down for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Press down gently.
- Flip and grill the other side for an additional 4-5 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is golden.
- Remove, cut in half, and serve while warm.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, substitute butter with olive oil and use whole wheat bread for added fiber.
