Description
A bold and flavorful burger that simplifies gourmet cooking by letting the ingredients shine.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 blend)
- 4 slices Cheddar Cheese
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- Optional Toppings: Pickles, onions, lettuce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form thick patties, about ¾ inch thick.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat and melt a teaspoon of butter.
- Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on one side until a crust forms.
- Flip the patties, add a slice of cheddar cheese, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and patties reach 160°F internal temperature.
- Toast your burger buns in a separate pan with more butter until golden.
- Assemble your burger with the cheese-covered patty on the bun, topped with your favorite optional toppings.
Notes
For a lighter option, use ground chicken or turkey, and for a low-carb option, consider lettuce wraps instead of buns.
