Description

A bold and flavorful burger that simplifies gourmet cooking by letting the ingredients shine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 blend)
  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Optional Toppings: Pickles, onions, lettuce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form thick patties, about ¾ inch thick.
  2. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat and melt a teaspoon of butter.
  3. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on one side until a crust forms.
  4. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheddar cheese, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and patties reach 160°F internal temperature.
  5. Toast your burger buns in a separate pan with more butter until golden.
  6. Assemble your burger with the cheese-covered patty on the bun, topped with your favorite optional toppings.

Notes

For a lighter option, use ground chicken or turkey, and for a low-carb option, consider lettuce wraps instead of buns.
