Description
These baked churro bites are golden, fluffy, and rolled in warm cinnamon sugar—no frying required! Perfect for parties, holidays, or cozy nights at home.
Ingredients
1 cup water
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
2 tablespoons granulated sugar (plus more for coating)
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
Cooking spray (or a light oil mist)
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
In a medium saucepan, bring water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil. Add flour all at once, stirring until a dough ball forms. Cook 1 minute.
Remove from heat, cool slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy.
Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip. Pipe 3–4 inch strips onto the baking sheet. Mist lightly with cooking spray.
Bake for 10 minutes at 425°F, reduce to 375°F (190°C), and bake another 15 minutes. Turn off oven, crack door, and let rest for 10 minutes.
Brush with melted butter, roll in cinnamon sugar, and serve warm.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
To reheat: warm in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes to crisp back up.
Flavor twist: swap cinnamon for pumpkin spice, or add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dough.
