Ingredients

  • 8 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Herbs, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  3. Add the chicken drumsticks to the skillet, browning them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle paprika over the chicken, pour in the chicken broth, and bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream, and simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  6. Prepare steamed rice according to package instructions.
  7. Plate the chicken on a bed of rice, spooning extra sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut cream. To make it dairy-free, use coconut or cashew cream.
