- 8 Chicken Drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons Paprika
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Fresh Herbs, optional for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Add the chicken drumsticks to the skillet, browning them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle paprika over the chicken, pour in the chicken broth, and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream, and simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Prepare steamed rice according to package instructions.
- Plate the chicken on a bed of rice, spooning extra sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut cream. To make it dairy-free, use coconut or cashew cream.
