  • 2 slices sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Start by gathering all necessary ingredients. Slice the avocado in half and remove the pit. Use a fork to mash it lightly, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Spread a thin layer of unsalted butter on one side of each slice of sourdough.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer a slice of cheddar cheese, followed by the mashed avocado. Place another slice of cheddar cheese on top. Finish with the second slice of sourdough, buttered side facing out.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the sandwich in the skillet and press down gently. Grill for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the sandwich to toast the other side, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until perfectly browned and cheese is melted.
