- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until evenly coated.
- Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips until well distributed.
- Spread the coconut mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
For a healthier version, use dark chocolate and unsweetened almond milk as substitutes.
