- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar, mixing well. Add the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
- Mix in the vanilla extract until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Shape the dough into balls and roll each in powdered sugar until coated.
- Place the rolled balls on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a vegan alternative, use flax eggs instead of regular eggs and dairy-free cream cheese.
