Description
A rich and indulgent Chocolate Orange Cheesecake that combines the deep flavors of chocolate with refreshing citrus notes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz Cream Cheese (full-fat)
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 8 oz Dark Chocolate
- 2 Fresh Oranges (zest and juice)
- 1/2 cup Butter (or coconut oil)
- 1 1/2 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix your graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until crumbly. Firmly press the mixture into the base of a springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes and then allow it to cool.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in granulated sugar and mix until well combined. Incorporate the sour cream and heavy cream, blending until silky.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler. Allow it to cool slightly before adding it to the cream cheese mixture. Pour in the orange zest and juice to balance the chocolate flavor.
- Pour the filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top with a spatula. Tap the pan gently on the counter to remove air bubbles.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center still jiggles slightly when shaken.
- Turn off the oven and crack the door. Let the cheesecake cool in the oven for about an hour. Afterward, refrigerate it for at least four hours, ideally overnight.
Notes
Serve with a drizzle of chocolate ganache, fresh orange slices, and whipped cream for added flavor.
