Description

A quick and healthy dish featuring Chinese green beans sautéed with garlic and soy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Chinese green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Green Beans by washing and trimming the ends.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the prepared green beans and stir quickly to coat them in the garlic and oil mixture.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and add red pepper flakes, stir-fry for an additional 5-7 minutes until beans are tender but crisp.
  6. Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame oil, tossing to combine.
  7. Serve immediately in a serving dish.

Notes

For a different flavor, consider using chili oil instead of sesame oil. You can serve these beans over rice or as a side to a protein dish.
