Description
A melt-in-your-mouth dish featuring beef short ribs slow-roasted to perfection, enhanced with a savory Asian marinade.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 pounds Beef Short Ribs
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 1 cup Chicken or Beef Broth
- Green Onions (for garnish)
- Rice (for serving)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until the sugar dissolves.
- Place beef short ribs in a resealable bag or glass dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Heat oil in a skillet, sear the ribs on all sides until golden-brown.
- Transfer ribs to a roasting pan, pour reserved marinade and broth over, and cover with aluminum foil.
- Roast in the oven for 4-5 hours, checking occasionally.
- For a glaze, remove foil and increase temp to 425°F (220°C) for 20-30 minutes, basting with pan juices.
- Let ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving, garnishing with green onions and serving with rice.
Notes
Marinate the ribs overnight for deeper flavors. Consider lower-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
