Description
Delightful bite-sized Cannoli Bites featuring a creamy ricotta filling encased in crispy pastry shells, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- Pastry Shells (pre-made or homemade)
- 1 cup Ricotta Cheese (well-drained)
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Chopped Pistachios (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). If using pre-made shells, skip to the next step.
- For homemade, roll out dough to 1/8-inch thickness, cut into circles, wrap around cannoli molds, and bake until golden brown (10-15 minutes). Let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine drained ricotta, powdered sugar, and vanilla; blend until smooth.
- Sprinkle in cinnamon and fold in mini chocolate chips. Adjust sweetness if needed.
- Use a piping bag to fill cooled pastry shells with the ricotta mixture.
- Dip filled ends of Cannoli Bites in chopped pistachios or chocolate chips, or dust with powdered sugar.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to firm up the filling.
Notes
Avoid overfilling the shells to prevent sogginess. Use well-drained ricotta for the best texture.
