Ingredients
- Cake Mix (chocolate, vanilla, or red velvet)
- Eggs
- Vegetable Oil (or coconut oil)
- Frosting (or Greek yogurt/nut butter)
- Chocolate Coating (dark, milk, or white chocolate)
- Sprinkles (edible glitter or chopped nuts)
Instructions
- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions with eggs, oil, and water. Bake and let cool on a wire rack.
- Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix in the frosting gradually until you reach a moldable consistency.
- Roll tablespoons of the mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Chill the cake balls on a lined baking sheet for about 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate coating in the microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Dip one end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert into a cake ball.
- Carefully dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate and let excess drip off.
- Add sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
- Allow to harden completely before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute cake mix with almond flour and choose sugar-free frosting.
