Description

A delightful breakfast bake combining flaky croissants and vibrant mixed berries for a satisfying start to your day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 day-old croissants, chopped
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Chop the day-old croissants into bite-sized pieces and arrange them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Toss the mixed berries with a teaspoon of sugar in a bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until fully combined.
  5. Layer the berries over the croissants, then pour the egg custard mixture over the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter bake, consider using egg whites instead of whole eggs. Serve warm with powdered sugar, maple syrup, or yogurt.
