Ingredients
- Phyllo dough
- Unsalted butter
- Cream cheese
- Granulated sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Honey
- Chopped nuts (walnuts or pistachios)
- Simple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp cloth. Brush a baking sheet with melted butter.
- Layer 4 sheets of phyllo dough, brushing with melted butter between each layer.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture over the layered phyllo.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the filling.
- Add another layer of phyllo on top, brushing with more butter. Repeat until 6-8 layers are used.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with honey or simple syrup before cutting into squares.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.

Ensure phyllo dough is fully thawed to prevent cracking. Brush each layer with melted butter for best results.
