Ingredients
- Ground Beef (500g)
- Ground Pork (250g)
- Onion (1 Medium, finely chopped)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Egg (1 Large)
- Breadcrumbs (100g)
- Milk (50ml)
- Mustard (1 tablespoon)
- Paprika (1 teaspoon)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Finely chop the onions and mince the garlic. Sauté the onions until translucent, about 5 minutes, and set aside to cool.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, sautéed onions, garlic, breadcrumbs, mustard, salt, pepper, and the egg. Mix until slightly sticky.
- Form Patties: With greasy hands, form the mixture into patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
- Cook the Frikadellen: Heat a pan over medium heat with a little oil. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Let Them Rest: Transfer cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute with plant-based ground meat and use flaxseed gel instead of egg.
