Description

Delicious German-style meat patties made from a flavorful blend of ground beef and pork, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • Ground Beef (500g)
  • Ground Pork (250g)
  • Onion (1 Medium, finely chopped)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Egg (1 Large)
  • Breadcrumbs (100g)
  • Milk (50ml)
  • Mustard (1 tablespoon)
  • Paprika (1 teaspoon)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Finely chop the onions and mince the garlic. Sauté the onions until translucent, about 5 minutes, and set aside to cool.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, sautéed onions, garlic, breadcrumbs, mustard, salt, pepper, and the egg. Mix until slightly sticky.
  3. Form Patties: With greasy hands, form the mixture into patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
  4. Cook the Frikadellen: Heat a pan over medium heat with a little oil. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Let Them Rest: Transfer cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat.

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute with plant-based ground meat and use flaxseed gel instead of egg.
