Description

Deliciously soft and chewy cookies infused with apple cider and warm spices, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup apple cider
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk together.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and apple cider to the butter mixture and beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough in powdered sugar.
  8. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Cool cookies completely for best texture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for longer freshness.
